In the agriculture industry of the United States the live cattle market is a very high volume and important market. This market includes cattle that have been fed in feedlots and are ready for slaughter and human consumption. Looking at the past performance of this market, it seems to be volatile and unexplainable to a large degree. This project will set out to explain this market using mathematical and economical modeling. More specifically, regression analysis will be used to attempt to explain this market in relation to a number of independent variables.
