For centuries, the Gospel accounts of Jesus' healings captivated readers' attention. These stories contain bold yet subtle elements of miraculous events of healing, which cannot go unnoticed. Healing appears to have played a significant role in not only the story of Jesus, but int he lives of people throughout the ancient world. It continues to have an impact on modern Christian traditions today. Within the three specific Protestant traditions previously mentioned, variations of the interpretations and practices of the stories of Jesus are evident. Although these three traditions actively practice and interpret the biblical healing stories of Jesus differently, the role of healing is equally alive in each.
