The philosophical movement termed personalism leads a student into nearly every province of the liberal arts world. In emphasizing the reality of the person, personalism is obliged to follow man wherever he roams. In an attempt to give adequate coverage tot he personalistic thought of Ralph Tyler Flewelling, I have been ushered into disciplines in which I cannot claim competency. This experience has been extremely rewarding, however, for I have been introduced to a wide range of philosophical implications which reside in the fields of physical science, social science, and religion.
It is the very non-provincial nature of Dr. Flewelling's thinking that gave this study its initial and lasting appeal.
