Programming in DBase III+: "Pivot Tracker" Program
Programming, DBase III+, computer software, agriculture, farm management
Agriculture | Computer Engineering | Management Information Systems | Statistics and Probability
The motivation for this project arose as there was a need for an agricultural computer package to assign expense and income amounts to particular fields in a farming operation and report useful output to the management and staff associated with the business. The package is to accept these amounts, and assign them to expense/income accounts as well as the field to which the transaction applies. This particular application will be used by STRR Farms of Sutherland, Nebraska. The manager of this operation submitted a project proposal in August that outlined the requirements of such a package, and work began in September. The project was approached by implementing a system analysis approach to the solution. This began with the development of a systems development life cycle of the proposed project.
