Abstract

En una obra tan extensa y cargada de fantasia como Cien Anoes de Soledad, en la que encontramos personjes masculinos portentosos como el Coronel Aureliano Buendia, combatiente de treinta y dos guerras civiles; Jose Arcadio con todo su cuerpo bordado a punto de cruz; Melquiades, que escribe en sanscrito la historia de los Buendia con cien anos de anticipacion; hallamos tambien personajes femeninos excepionales: la centenaria Ursula, fundadora de Macondo; Pilar Ternera, capaz de leer el porvenir de los Buendia en las cartas; Remedios, la bella, que asciende al cielo rodeada de sabanas de bramante, y tantas otras.

In a work as extensive and full of fantasy as One Hundred Years of Solitude , in which we find portentous masculine characters such as Colonel Aureliano Buendia, combatant of thirty-two civil wars; Jose Arcadio with all his body embroidered at cross stitch; Melquiades, who writes in Sanskrit the history of the Buendia with a hundred years of anticipation; we also find exceptional female characters: the centenary Ursula, founder of Macondo; Pilar Ternera, able to read the future of the Buendia in the letters; Remedios, the beauty, who ascends to heaven surrounded by sheets of twine, and many others.
