Abstract

There is a vitality, a life-force, and energy, a quickening which is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. --Martha Graham

Painting is one method for me to communicate with my world; therefore, I chose to paint for my honors project. I wanted to paint something in which I was involved and interested. Being intrigued by the fast moving people around me, I chose to comment on some of the products of living in Southern California.
