Abstract

The course, Contemporary Womanhood, is one answer to the need for relevant education. Until very recently, higher education has been afflicted with a specialization fever that has left students unprepared for intelligent living. The introduction of interdisciplinary Black Studies has shed a new light on academics, and demonstrated the need for programs of study that analyze a problem from many viewpoints.
