There was a time in Redlands' history that can be considered its Golden Age. Like the weather, everyone talks about it but little is written about it in detail. This paper hopes to take selected aspects of cultural and social institutions and beauty spots that played a role in giving Redlands a national reputation. And, more importantly, to see if this fame was deserved.
