Federico Garcia Lorca--his name is a legend and his works are famed for their exuberant power and their poetic beauty. He reflects and is himself an "embodiment of the Spanish spirit;" his songs and poems are already a part of the folk tradition. In a brief life span of thirty-seven years (1899-1936) Lorca revitalized the Spanish theatre. He dealt with problems that were of the people.
