This paper outlines the development of a web based solution for the dissemination of spatial fish species information in the western United States, Alaska and Mexico. By examining relevant past projects, the context for a web-based application developed using ArcGIS Server technology is described and explained. The basis for the developed web application is to allow users of the fish species data to interactively view that data in areas of interest, as well as generate digital maps based on individual input. Finally, developmental issues and possible future project updates are explored and discussed.
