Two local libraries in Redlands California do not have a way to display to the students and the general public what is available at their libraries concerning maps, historic maps and historic photographs. This project has created a prototype viewer tool, which will allow the users to see a small subset of the libraries’ map and photographic holdings. This viewer application presents a raster image of the map or vector line of the edge of the map. It will give the user a way to view the raster image with a current base map and to decide whether to look at the physical map from the appropriate library.
