This thesis project is a training manual for a one day workshop in job burnout prevention. Workshops I have run have resulted in the development of this manual.
I've presented the workshop to administrators of the San Diego County Department of Education and to supervisors through the Portland YWCA Management On The Move program. I have also taught a graduate-level course to teachers of the Multnomah (Oregon) County Educational Service District using enclosed material in an expanded format.
Interest in this project stems from my commitment to act as a force to encourage personal satisfaction and job performance.
I also know the anguish of having burned out of a job. I wish to do what I can to prevent or mitigate this discomfort in others.
